DIGITAL CREATIVE DIVISION
The purpose of the Digital Creative Division is to provide an outlet for photographers who like to work "out of the box", using electronic techniques to go a step beyond straight photography into the "artistic/graphic" realm. The Creative Digital Division includes photos that, when viewed, are obviously manipulated in the computer or camera, using techniques in the software. We are looking for images that are unusual. The image should look like its been changed from reality to the casual observer.
Members may enter up to 3 images in the Creative Digital Division. Groups that can be entered include Assignment or Non-assignment, color only. See the Bylaws for more information.
Electronic files must be provided in .JPG
format and vertical & horizontal dimensions can not exceed 768 x 768 pixels, including any added border. Any odd shaped images, for example 768 pixels x 600 pixels, are acceptable. The maximum dimension may be smaller, though this is not recommended.
All digital photos must be labeled accordingly:
Member'sLastName Member'sFirstName ImageTitle Non, As, or AsF.jpg.
The letter designation after the image title signifies the group the member is entering the photo in, such as "Non" for the non-assignment group, "As" for the assignment group, and "AsF" for the assignment group and was taken especially "F"or the assignment.
Examples of digital image titles are:
Smith Jim CrazySkyline Non.jpg
Johnson Paula ManyFaces As.jpg
Stoneman Marjorie ShoeBonanza AsF.jpg
Entries can be emailed or given to the chairperson on a CD-R, ON or BEFORE the turn in date. If emailing images, please note in the subject line of your email the contest number you are entering, for example, "TCC Creative Digital Division Contest #1". See the Bylaws for more information.
NOTE: When titling images, do not use any special characters or periods in the filename, including hyphens, underscores, "/", "\", "#", etc.
